About Me

I was born and raised in Reno, Nevada. I worked throughout my undergraduate and graduate studies with kids and teens across a variety of settings, both clinical and educational. I earned my undergraduate degree in Psychology with a minor in Human Development and Family Studies in 2016 and my Master’s Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from UNR in 2022 and completed my clinical internship in late 2024. I have worked with clients across a variety of populations and enjoy working with teens and adults, with a particular passion for working with women and the LGTBQIA+ community, as well as clients interested in processing trauma experiences. I use a client centered, collaborative, and creative approach when working with individuals.

I believe in the combination of both skill building and creative interventions to help clients to meet their personal goals and gain insight. I enjoy incorporating a variety of interventions that connect with clients, while challenging historic beliefs that have impacted them and help to reframe negative beliefs. I have a background in DBT (Dialectical Behavior Therapy) and am continuing to familiarize myself with up to date trauma informed interventions and narrative therapy with hopes of integrating nature-based tenets into my work. I am a BIG movie buff and in my free time, enjoy reading and playing with my black lab, Dodger. I enjoy camping and spending as much time outside and at the lake as possible.
